Born in Vienna in 1995, filmmaker Antonia Olivares completed her directing studies at the Vienna Film Academy. Her 2023 graduation film, "Wie im Traum" (As in a Dream), was screened at several major festivals, including the Diagonale. For this work, she received nominations for prestigious newcomer awards, such as the Max Ophüls Prize for Best Medium-Length Feature Film and the FIRST STEPS Award. Her earlier works include the 2019 short film "Unter der Haut" (Under the Skin).
