Filmmaker Ashley Denise Robinson is a graduate of the NYU Tisch School of the Arts and received the Alex Sichel Fellowship as part of her MFA studies at Stony Brook University. Her directorial work includes several short films that have gained recognition at renowned festivals. For instance, her film 'Las Palmas' (2019) was selected as a finalist in the HBO Shorts Competition at the American Black Film Festival. Another work, the short film 'Taking the Ferry' (2021), premiered at the Pan African Film Festival. Robinson is also the co-founder of the production company Kinship Works.
