Born in Friedberg in 1982, actress Britta Hammelstein completed her training at the Otto Falckenberg School in Munich. She began her career with engagements at major stages like the Schauspielhaus Zürich and the Deutsches Theater Berlin, where she established herself as a versatile performer. Simultaneously, she consistently expanded her film and television presence, appearing in productions such as the miniseries "Das Verschwinden" and the feature film "Mackie Messer – Brechts Dreigroschenfilm". For her leading role in the drama "Der Fall Bruckner", she received a nomination for the German Screen Actors Award in 2014. She also gained international attention through her role in the science fiction film "Tides" (2021).
