Caroline Ducey, born as Caroline Trousselard on December 12, 1976 in Sainte-Adresse, France, is a renowned French actress. Her career began in 1994 with the film “Trop de bonheur” (English title: “Happiness”). She became internationally known for her leading role in “Romance” (1999), directed by Catherine Breillat, a film that caused a stir due to its explicit portrayal of sexuality. In 2008, Ducey played the role of Juliette in the French drama I DREAMT UNDER THE WATER, written and directed by Hormoz. The film tells the story of Antonin, played by Hubert Benhamdine, a young man who, after the death of his friend, drifts into a world of drugs and prostitution. Juliette becomes a central figure in his life, offering him hope and a new perspective. In addition to her role in I DREAMT UNDER THE WATER, Caroline Ducey has appeared in numerous other films. In “La dernière maîtresse” (2007), directed by Catherine Breillat, she played a supporting role in this historical drama. In “La Chambre obscure” (2000) by Marie-Christine Questerbert, she played the leading role of Aliénor, a young woman in the 14th century who rebels against social conventions.
