The director and animator Dario Almerighi is a graduate of the Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg. His short film 'Gleichgewicht' (2015), which he co-directed with Fabian Fricke during his studies, gained international recognition. The work was selected for the competition at the renowned Annecy International Animation Film Festival 2016 and the Stuttgart International Festival of Animated Film, among others. Following his studies, Almerighi worked as an animator and storyboard artist on internationally known series such as 'The Amazing World of Gumball' and 'Elliott from Earth'.
