Dirk Borchardt, born on February 24, 1969, in Berlin, is a German actor with a wide range of roles in film, television, and theater. After training at the School of Performing Arts “Die Etage,” he was active on various stages before successfully turning to film. He became known to a wide cinema audience through the film WEGE IN DIE NACHT (Ways into the Night). Borchardt played a memorable supporting role in Andreas Kleinert's drama about a former train driver who embarks on a radical search for justice at night. The film was widely praised for its dense atmosphere and social relevance. Borchardt has worked with renowned directors such as Dominik Graf, Oliver Hirschbiegel, Hannes Stöhr, and Carl Schenkel. Particularly noteworthy is his role in Dominik Graf's Hotte im Paradies, where he played the criminal boyfriend of the title character. He is also a fixture on television: he has played the lawyer Peer Kaminski in the ARD series Praxis mit Meerblick since 2017 and can be seen as Inspector Jochen Montag in the ZDF production Die Jägerin. Borchardt also impresses in the series “Nächste Ausfahrt Glück” as Juri Hoffmann, the love interest of the main character. In addition to his acting career, he is also active as a stunt coordinator and fight choreographer, bringing additional depth to physically demanding roles.
