Dominic Raacke
Actor
Dominic Raacke, born on December 11, 1958, in Hanau, is a German actor, screenwriter, and voice actor with a diverse portfolio in German film and television. He had his breakthrough in 1983 as Karl Boetzkes in the ARD series Rote Erde. He appeared in the road movie NEBEN DER SPUR (2007, directed by Yvonne von Mach and Detlef Bothe), which observes different ways of life in a complex, individualized society. In THERAPIE (2016, directed by Felix Chârîn), Raacke plays a psychiatrist whose therapeutic methods become increasingly unconventional and threatening as a young female criminal challenges his mental stability. And in the psychodrama MEIN (2009, directed by Detlef Bothe), he took on the role of the groundskeeper – a dark, emotionally charged work about violence and control. He is best known as Inspector Till Ritter in the Berlin Tatort (1999–2014), works as a screenwriter (including Der kalte Finger, directed by Ralf Huettner, 1996) and appears in long-running series such as Der Bergdoktor. With his multifaceted acting, Raacke combines authenticity, expressiveness, and stylistic range – from socially critical arthouse films to popular crime series.
