Dustin Semmelrogge, born on June 23, 1980, in Düsseldorf, is a German actor and voice artist with roots in a well-known film family: he is the son of Martin Semmelrogge and grandson of Willy Semmelrogge. He had his first TV role on children's television and later gained widespread recognition as apprentice Philip “Didi” Mertens in the RTL sitcom Ritas Welt (2001–2003). He has also appeared in series such as Großstadtrevier, Unter uns, and Ärzteteam Nord, often in guest roles or episodic appearances. He has particularly distinguished himself in genre and arthouse projects in the cinema. For example, he starred in the fantasy horror film MONTRAK (2017, directed by Stefan Schwenk) – a dark vampire myth set in Germany. Semmelrogge is convincing in the role of ex-soldier Harry, who joins a group fighting against vampire chaos. His portfolio includes further film appearances: he appeared in the cult comedy Bang Boom Bang – Ein todsicheres Ding (1999), in the satire Auf Herz & Nieren (2001), as well as in Girl (2001), Die Klasse von '99 (2003), Erbsen auf halb 6 (2004) and U-900 (2008). His range extends from drama to comedy to fantasy. Semmelrogge is a regular presence on stage, whether at the Piraten-Open-Air-Festspiele in Grevesmühlen or in other theater productions. There he embodies a wide variety of characters and is highly regarded as an accomplished ensemble actor.
