Ed Oxenbould is an Australian actor best known for his roles in both film and television. He began his acting career at a young age, gaining early acclaim for his performance in the Australian film "Paper Planes" (2014), where he played the lead role of Dylan. Following this, Oxenbould gained international recognition for his performance as Alexander in the Disney film "Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day" (2014), starring alongside Steve Carell and Jennifer Garner. His other notable works include the horror-comedy film "Better Watch Out" (2016) and the drama "Wildlife" (2018), where he acted opposite Carey Mulligan and Jake Gyllenhaal. Ed Oxenbould's career continues to grow as he takes on diverse roles in both Australian and international productions.
Julian
Berlinale Short Film winner JULIAN by Matthew Moore tells of a fourth grader who feels the strong urge to tell the truth and who runs into trouble for doing so. "Life's not fair, Julian. It's messy" (The headmaster) Nine-year-old Julian is an attentive, precise boy who likes to line up his pens neatly on his desk. When a girl complains to him about the other kids’ misbehaviour, he informs the teacher right away. The teacher sends him off to the headmaster, but Julian doesn’t find that fair at all. What is to become of such a boy? JULIAN won not only the Crystal Bear for Best Short at the Berlinale, but also Best Short Fiction Film at the Australian Academy of Cinema Arts as well as Best Children's Short and International Special Mention at the Berlin Interfilm Festival.
