The American actor and director Emily Robinson appeared in the award-winning Amazon series *Transparent*, for which she received a Screen Actors Guild Award in 2016 as part of the ensemble. Her filmography as a performer also includes Bo Burnham's feature film *Eighth Grade* (2018) and Tamara Jenkins' *Private Life* (2018). In addition to acting, Robinson also directs short films and was honored for her work as a filmmaker in 2019 as a Sundance Ignite Fellow. She studied at Columbia University, where she worked on her own film projects.
