Emmanuelle Seigner is a French actress and singer born on June 22, 1966, in Paris, France. She began her career as a model before transitioning into acting. Seigner gained international recognition with her performances in films directed by her husband, Roman Polanski, such as "Frantic" (1988) alongside Harrison Ford and "Bitter Moon" (1992). Other notable films include "The Ninth Gate" (1999) with Johnny Depp and "La Vénus à la fourrure" (Venus in Fur) (2013), for which she received critical acclaim. She has also appeared in "The Diving Bell and the Butterfly" (2007). Emmanuelle Seigner has been nominated for a César Award, showcasing her talent and contribution to French cinema.
