François Ruffin

François Ruffin is a French journalist, filmmaker, and politician known for his socially-conscious work. He gained significant attention with his documentary "Merci Patron!" released in 2016, which critiques corporate power and worker exploitation. The film won the César Award for Best Documentary Film. Ruffin is also a founder of the left-wing newspaper Fakir and has used his platform to bring light to various social issues. In addition to his film work, Ruffin was elected to the French National Assembly in 2017 as a member of the left-wing political group La France Insoumise. His career is marked by his persistent advocacy for social justice and workers' rights.
