Géraldine Nakache is a French actress, director, and screenwriter born on February 16, 1980, in Puteaux, France. She started her career in the entertainment industry working behind the scenes as an assistant director and casting director. Nakache gained recognition as an actress through television and then moved into film. Her breakout role came with the film "Comme t'y es belle!" (2006). Nakache is also known for her directorial work. She co-wrote, directed, and starred in "Tout ce qui brille" (2010), a film about two young women from the Paris suburbs trying to make it in the city. The movie was well-received, earning her a nomination for the César Award for Best First Feature Film. Another notable film she directed and starred in is "Nous York" (2012), a sequel of sorts to "Tout ce qui brille," focusing on the same characters visiting New York City. Géraldine Nakache has continued to work both in front of and behind the camera, maintaining a versatile career in the French film industry.
