Harry Lloyd was born on November 17, 1983, in London and is a British actor with family roots in the writer Charles Dickens. He attended the prestigious Eton College and made his debut at the age of 16 as the young Steerforth in the BBC production of David Copperfield. He then studied English at Christ Church College, Oxford, and was a member of the Oxford University Dramatic Society. His best-known television roles include Viserys Targaryen in Game of Thrones, Jeremy Baines in Doctor Who, Will Scarlett in Robin Hood, Peter Quayle in Counterpart, Bernard Marx in Brave New World, and Charles Xavier in Legion. He also appeared in the miniseries Manhattan and Marcella, and was active as a voice actor in the hit animated series Arcane. His film credits include The Theory of Everything, Anthropoid, The Wife, and The Lost King. Particularly noteworthy is his role in the film PHILOPHOBIA, a 2019 drama directed by Guy Davies, in which he played the character Mr. Simmons.
