The Palestinian actress and director Hiam Abbass, born in 1960, is an internationally acclaimed filmmaker. For her leading role in the drama *Lemon Tree* (2008), she received the Ophir Award for Best Actress. She became known to a wide audience through her roles in high-profile series such as *Succession* as Marcia Roy and *Ramy* as Maysa Hassan. Her filmography also includes notable appearances in films like *The Visitor* (2007) and *Blade Runner 2049* (2017). In addition to her work as a performer, Abbass also works as a director; her feature film debut *Inheritance* premiered at the 2012 Venice Film Festival.
