The French filmmaker Jean-Luc Le Floc'h is a graduate of the animation school La Poudrière. His graduation project, the animated short film "La Queue de la souris" (The Mouse's Tail, 2007), which he co-directed with Benjamin Renner, gained international attention. The work received the Junior Jury Award at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival in 2008. The following year, the film was nominated for a César Award for Best Short Film and was also part of the selection at the Cannes Film Festival.
