Johannes Wacker

Johannes Wacker, born in 1989, is a director and writer who studied at the University of Television and Film (HFF) in Munich. His short film "Franky" (2019) was presented at festivals including the Hof International Film Festival. He participated in the competition of the Filmfestival Max Ophüls Preis with his medium-length feature film "Sommerregen" (2024). For this directorial work, he also received a nomination for the renowned FIRST STEPS Award for emerging talent in 2024. In addition to his filmmaking activities, Wacker is also active as an actor.
