Justina Jürgensen, born in Hamburg in 1996, is a German director, screenwriter, and editor. After her first works in the field of short films, she studied directing at the University of Television and Film Munich. She develops her own material, which often focuses on queer themes and social issues. She became known primarily for WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON BETWEEN US, FUCK? (2022, director: Justina Jürgensen). In this short film, she tells the story of a soccer player who falls in love with a teammate. The nine-minute film premiered at the International Hof Film Festival, screened at other festivals in Germany and internationally, and was praised for its intense visual language and emotional directness. Her other films include Blaue Flecken (2020, directed by Justina Jürgensen) and The Trip (2019, directed by Justina Jürgensen). She also develops series concepts and works on projects such as Youth, Gold Rush, and Elf mal Morgen.
