Manuel Lara Larita is a filmmaker and a graduate of the renowned ESCAC film school in Barcelona. He gained international attention with his short film "El nombre del hijo" (The Name of the Son, 2021). The work was awarded the Silver Columbus for Best International Short Film at the Huelva Ibero-American Film Festival and was selected for the Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival, among others. His earlier work as a director and screenwriter includes the 2018 short film "Padre" (Father).
