Mari-Elene Gudahl

The director and screenwriter Mari-Elene Gudahl, born in Ålesund, Norway, in 1991, studied directing at the Film University Babelsberg Konrad Wolf. Her feature film debut, "Langer Langer Kuss" (Long Long Kiss), premiered at the 73rd Berlin International Film Festival in 2023 in the Perspektive Deutsches Kino section. For this work, the filmmaker was honored with the Heiner Carow Prize at the Berlinale. The film also garnered a nomination for the prestigious First Steps Award in 2023. Among her earlier directorial works is the short film "Skråninga" (Slope) from 2019.
