The Gelsenkirchen-born actor Martin Wuttke is a formative figure in German-language theater and film. For decades, he was a central figure at the Berliner Ensemble, famous for his title role in Heiner Müller's production of *The Resistible Rise of Arturo Ui*. He became known to an international audience as Adolf Hitler in Quentin Tarantino's *Inglourious Basterds* (2009). His versatile work in front of the camera also includes roles in the Leipzig *Tatort* crime series, the film *Cloud Atlas* (2012), and the series *Babylon Berlin*. For his outstanding performances, Wuttke has been honored with numerous awards, including the Nestroy Theatre Prize.
