Michael Kranz, born in 1983, is a German actor and filmmaker who trained at the Bavarian Theatre Academy August Everding in Munich. As a performer, he appeared in internationally acclaimed productions such as Quentin Tarantino's *Inglourious Basterds* (2009) and Michael Haneke's *The White Ribbon* (2009). He also took on significant roles in German films like *Finsterworld* (2013) and the series *Hindafing*. In addition to his acting work, he is also active as a director; his short film *What to do* (2018) received several honors, including the Starter Film Prize from the City of Munich and the Friedrich Wilhelm Murnau Short Film Award.
