Mladen Đorđević

Born in Belgrade in 1978, Serbian filmmaker Mladen Đorđević graduated in directing from the Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Belgrade, where he also earned a PhD in film theory. His body of work, spanning both documentary and fiction, frequently explores social taboos. He gained international recognition with his controversial feature *The Life and Death of a Porno Gang* (2009), which won several awards, including Best Screenplay at the Fantasia Film Festival. His most recent film, *Working Class Goes to Heaven* (*Sumrak u bečkom haustoru*), premiered in the Midnight Madness section at the 2023 Toronto International Film Festival.
