Otiti Engelhardt is an actress born in Munich who completed her training at the State University of Music and Performing Arts in Stuttgart. While still a student, she appeared in productions such as Das Leben auf der Praça Roosevelt (Life on Roosevelt Square) and was awarded a scholarship from the German National Academic Foundation in 2018. Engagements at the Nationaltheater Mannheim, the Hessisches Staatstheater Wiesbaden, the Theaterhaus Stuttgart, the Schauspielhaus Graz, and the Theater Osnabrück, among others, shape her profile in German-language theater. In cinema, she is best known for JUNK SPACE BERLIN from 2022, the debut film by director Juri Padel. In it, she plays the protagonist Marion, who searches for the missing AI Billie in a dystopian, alienated Berlin and ventures into the dangerous rift of the city with a group of outsiders. The science fiction thriller premiered at the Oldenburg International Film Festival and won an award for Best Sound Design at the Torino Cinefest, underscoring the production's distinctive audiovisual signature. Engelhardt also appears in the 2020 feature film Irgendwann ist auch mal gut (Enough is Enough), a tragicomedy by Christian Werner that premiered at the Max Ophüls Prize Film Festival, where it received an award for young actors, before being honored with a grand prize at the Rhode Island International Film Festival. Another building block of her filmography is the 2012 short film Am Ende des Weges (At the End of the Road) by Nelson Berger, which tells a psychologically intense story of guilt, revenge, and moral decisions. The combination of independent film projects, festival-proven productions, and continuous theater work makes Otiti Engelhardt a versatile face in contemporary German-language acting.
