Peter Trabner has made a name for himself as a charismatic actor in German film and television. He is known for his intense acting style, which is strongly influenced by improvisational theater, and regularly works with director Axel Ranisch. He made his breakthrough with DICKE MÄDCHEN (2011, directed by Axel Ranisch), which was screened at international festivals and earned him and Heiko Pinkowski the 2012 German Acting Award in the “Ensemble” category. Another milestone was the children's film “Reuber” (2013, directed by Axel Ranisch), in which he played a central role. He also thrilled audiences with his precise performance in Ich fühl mich Disco (2013, directed by Axel Ranisch). Another of his successes is ALKI ALKI (2015, directed by Axel Ranisch), in which he shone as the lead actor. The film about alcohol addiction once again demonstrated his versatility. In the tragicomedy FAMILIENFIEBER (2014, directed by Nico Sommer), he played Uwe Roth and once again proved his strength in improvisation and comedic timing. Trabner is not only in demand in arthouse cinema, but also appears in television productions. In addition to episodic roles in formats such as “Tatort,” he became known to a wide audience through the miniseries “Eichwald, MdB” (2015, directed by Erik Haffner), in which he played a washed-up member of the Bundestag. His most recent work includes ROCK ‘N’ ROLL RINGO (2024, directed by Dominik Galizia), which further underscores his presence in contemporary German cinema. Peter Trabner has received numerous awards for his extraordinary work. Together with Heiko Pinkowski and Axel Ranisch, he received the German Actor Award, and his films have been presented at numerous festivals. With his distinctive style, he is now considered one of the most striking figures in independent German cinema.
