Quentin Tarantino, born on March 27, 1963, in Knoxville, Tennessee, is an influential American director, screenwriter, and occasional actor. His debut film, Reservoir Dogs (1992, directed by Quentin Tarantino), made him famous overnight. With Pulp Fiction (1994, directed by Quentin Tarantino), he won the Palme d'Or at Cannes and cemented his reputation as an independent filmmaker. Other notable works include Jackie Brown (1997, directed by Quentin Tarantino), Kill Bill: Volume 1 (2003, directed by Quentin Tarantino), Kill Bill: Volume 2 (2004, directed by Quentin Tarantino), Inglourious Basterds (2009, directed by Quentin Tarantino), Django Unchained (2012, directed by Quentin Tarantino), and Once Upon a Time in Hollywood (2019, directed by Quentin Tarantino).
