The Egyptian-Canadian filmmaker Reem Morsi is based in Toronto. An alumna of the TIFF Filmmaker Lab, she has established herself in the industry. Her short film 'Their Feast' (2019) received the Best Canadian Short Film award at the Vancouver International Film Festival. Another short, 'Hysteria' (2021), premiered at the Slamdance Film Festival. Morsi also co-directed the feature film 'The Last Queen' (2022), which premiered at Venice Days and was Algeria's official Oscar submission.
