Richard Bohringer, born in 1942 in Moulins, is a French actor, director, and author. His acting work has been honored multiple times with the most important French film award. For his leading role in the drama *The Grand Highway* (*Le Grand Chemin*, 1987), he received the César Award for Best Actor in 1988. Previously, in 1985, he was recognized with the César for Best Supporting Actor for his performance in *The Bill* (*L'Addition*). His other well-known films include Jean-Jacques Beineix's cult classic *Diva* (1981). Bohringer's versatile career spans several decades and includes numerous roles in cinema and television.
