Ron Livingston, born on June 5, 1967, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, is an American actor who has made a name for himself in both independent cinema and major television productions. He gained international fame with the cult comedy Office Space (1999, directed by Mike Judge), in which he played the lead role of Peter Gibbons. An important contribution to his filmography was the drama JAMES WHITE (2015, directed by Josh Mond), in which he plays the character Ben. The film won the NEXT Audience Award at the Sundance Film Festival and received much critical acclaim. Livingston also demonstrated his versatility in Swingers (1996, directed by Doug Liman). He gained widespread popularity for his role as Captain Lewis Nixon in the award-winning HBO miniseries Band of Brothers (2001, various directors), for which he won a Golden Globe as part of the ensemble cast. He later appeared in films such as The Conjuring (2013, directed by James Wan), in which he played Roger Perron. On television, he played leading roles in series such as Sex and the City (1998–1999, various directors) as Jack Berger and in A Million Little Things (2018–2023, various directors) as Jon Dixon. He also appeared regularly in guest roles in well-known US series and established himself as a charismatic supporting actor with a strong screen presence. Ron Livingston has received numerous awards for his work, including a Screen Actors Guild Award as part of the ensemble cast of Band of Brothers.
