Born in 1973, French director and animator Sébastien Laudenbach graduated from the École nationale supérieure des Arts Décoratifs in Paris. His feature film debut, *The Girl Without Hands* (2016), received the Jury Prize at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival and was nominated for a César Award. A fluid and painterly animation style is characteristic of his work. Together with Chiara Malta, he directed the film *Chicken for Linda!* (2023), which won the Cristal for a Feature Film in Annecy as well as the César Award for Best Animated Film.
