Svenja Jung is one of Germany's best-known young actresses and has established herself in film and television thanks to her versatility. She celebrated her first major successes in the RTL series “Unter uns,” in which she played the role of Lisa Brück from 2014 onwards. Her breakthrough on the big screen came with “Fucking Berlin” (2016, directed by Florian Gottschick), where she played the lead role of a young student. In the same year, she gave a convincing performance in “Die Mitte der Welt” (2016, directed by Jakob M. Erwa). An important step in her career was JUNG FRAGIL, a short film by Joscha Bongard from 2020, in which she played a leading role. This film was also shown at festivals and underlined her flair for demanding, emotional characters. In 2019, she played the role of Maria in “A Gschicht über d'Lieb” (directed by Peter Evers). For her performance in this film, she received the Bavarian Film Award for Best Young Actress, one of the most significant awards of her career. Svenja Jung has also appeared in international productions, such as the Netflix series “Holiday Secrets” (2019, directed by Vanessa Jopp and others). She also appeared in “Deutschland 89” (2020, directed by Randa Chahoud, Soleen Yusef, and others), where she played one of the central supporting roles. She also attracted attention on television in the series “Zarah – Wilde Jahre” (2017) and later took on a leading role in the lavishly produced series “Der Palast” (2022). Her more recent projects include the Netflix film “Fall for Me” (2025, directed by Sherry Hormann).
