Director and screenwriter Théo Costa-Marini graduated from the screenplay department of the Paris film school La Fémis in 2020. His graduation film, *Soleil de nuit* (2021), already gained international attention through its selection for the Cinéfondation section of the Cannes Film Festival. His work as a filmmaker saw a significant continuation with the short film *Le mal des ardents* (2024). The film was invited into the official competition of the 77th Cannes Film Festival, where it competed for the Short Film Palme d'Or.
