Born in Cologne in 1944, actor Udo Kier has established himself internationally through a career spanning more than five decades. His filmography demonstrates enormous versatility and includes collaborations with influential filmmakers such as Rainer Werner Fassbinder, Gus Van Sant, and especially Lars von Trier. Among his most famous roles are appearances in cult films like *Flesh for Frankenstein* (1973) and *Blood for Dracula* (1974), as well as in blockbusters like *Blade* (1998). For his sensitive lead role in the drama *Swan Song* (2021), he was nominated for numerous awards, including the Independent Spirit Award for Best Male Lead. With well over 200 film and television roles, he is one of Germany's most prolific actors.
