French actor, singer, and model Vanessa Paradis was born in 1972 in Saint-Maur-des-Fossés. At the age of 14, she gained international fame with her song 'Joe le taxi' (1987). Her acting debut in 'Noce blanche' (1989) earned her the César Award for Most Promising Actress in 1990. She received further recognition for her roles in films such as 'La fille sur le pont' (1999), for which she was nominated for a César, and 'Café de Flore' (2011), which brought her the Canadian Genie Award for Best Actress. Her versatile career also includes a long-standing collaboration with the fashion house Chanel.
