Yeliz Simsek, born on November 8, 1990, in Cologne, is a German actress who is active on stage, in film, and on television. She completed her acting training in 2013. In 2015, she made her cinema debut in Macho Man (directed by Christof Wahl), followed by roles in Ein Atem (directed by Christian Zübert) and Wintermärchen (directed by Jan Bonny). Since 2023, she has played the fitness trainer Lale Ceylan as the lead actress in the ARD telenovela Sturm der Liebe. A highly acclaimed film in which she appears is the episodic film NOTES OF BERLIN (2020, directed by Mariejosephin Schneider), in which she plays Selma in a short episode. The film tells small stories from everyday life in Berlin in 14 partly tragic, mostly humorous episodes, inspired by real posters in the city. Her television presence is wide-ranging and includes appearances in series such as Wilsberg (2022, directed by Philipp Osthus), Kreuzfahrt ins Glück – Hochzeitsreise nach Kreta (2021, directed by Laura Thies), and Familie ist ein Fest – Taufalarm (2020, directed by Sebastian Hilger). She has also had guest roles in Tatort (2020, directed by Nina Wolfrum), Der Hodscha und die Piepenkötter (2015, directed by Buket Alakus), and the RTL series Der Lehrer. Yeliz Simsek impresses with her versatile roles – from memorable appearances in episodic films and telenovelas to established crime formats.
