Zinédine Soualem

Born in 1957, French actor Zinédine Soualem is a versatile performer who is at home in both theatre and film. He began his career at the renowned Théâtre du Soleil before becoming a recurring actor in the films of director Cédric Klapisch. Their best-known joint projects include *When the Cat's Away* (1996) and the internationally successful trilogy that began with *L'Auberge espagnole* (2002). His performance in *When the Cat's Away* earned him a nomination for the César Award for Most Promising Actor. His body of work also includes significant roles in films such as Mathieu Kassovitz's cult classic *La Haine* (1995).
