Intent on repairing a rift in their relationship, Anna and Juhan retreat to a seaside. They take in a wounded woman and her husband – a couple they have a lot in common with.

Anna and Juhan's relationship is polite and distant, but beneath the surface emotions seethe. The conversations of both couples revolve around relationship, politics and sexuality. The encounter with the young, hippie couple brings Anna and Juhan to face the problems of their relationship and Anna and Juhan ask themselves questions they have so far deliberately ignored.
