"I wanted to work with dance, because body language is something universal and can build a bridge between cultures. The body has a very communicative power and a special gift: it can remember." (Daniela Lucato)

The starting point of WHEN I DANCE was the "Connecting Fingers" performance presented at the English Theater in Berlin. This work connects the stories by refugees now living in local refugee facilities in Berlin about their current situation and private and political issues relating to their countries of origin.
