They are ogres and giants. They bring fantasy and disorder into our lives. "Les Ogres" are a circus troupe and for each other more than a family.

“Les Ogres” is a travelling circus troupe moving across France, living within a world of its own. Its members share everything: the stage and everyday life, love and conflict, work and family – with few boundaries between them. Privacy is scarce, but the sense of community is intense, held together by constant closeness and mutual dependence.

These proud eccentrics function like a tribe, embracing both tenderness and chaos, solidarity and exhaustion. But when a birth is approaching and an old love suddenly returns, the fragile balance begins to shift. Hidden wounds resurface, and the troupe is forced to confront how much freedom and intimacy a family can endure when it is also a business.

With warmth, humour and raw honesty, Léa Fehner portrays lives lived at full intensity, where vulnerability is difficult to admit and emotions are always close to the surface. LES OGRES is an energetic portrait of an extraordinary collective – and a story about what happens when life itself becomes a never-ending performance.

Fehner, who grew up in a travelling circus, brings a rare authenticity to the film, casting among others her own father and sister. Starring Adèle Haenel, Marc Barbé, Lola Dueñas and Patrick d’Assumçao.
