A French olive farmer offers help to refugees crossing the mountains. But now he too faces prosecution.

In the Roya valley, located between France and Italy, thousands of migrants try to cross the border each month in search for a better life.

Cédric Herrou, farmer, cultivates its olive trees there. The day where he crosses the road of the refugees, he decides, with other inhabitants of the valley, to welcome them. To offer them a refuge and help them to remove their request to asylum. Filmmaker Michel Toesca accompanied this courageous man with his camera for three years.

"TO THE FOUR WINDS is at the very heart of a combat. For me, filming this combat is an act of creation and resistance." (Michel Toesca, Director)
