In a strange, dark insane asylum, a brilliant physicist with no memory is being held captive. One thing preoccupies him: how to escape.

A brilliant physicist wakes up in a dark cell with no memory. Haunted by strange creatures—real or imagined—he tries to find a way out by writing complex formulas on the walls. His goal: to escape from the institution, whose reality he increasingly questions. With each equation, he comes closer to a breakthrough that oscillates between madness and scientific discovery.

Henrik Bjerregaard Clausen's 21-minute sci-fi short film THE FABRIC (2018) was made in collaboration with 3D College Denmark. The screenplay was written by Mads Zaar Riisberg, and the film was shot by Kim Jean Karlsson. The main roles are played by Rudi Køhnke, Simone Lykke, and Camilla Gottlieb.

The film has been praised for its visual design and atmosphere and was nominated for the Ekko Shortlist Award in the “Best Scenography” category in 2018.
