At the same time, Alexandre is under investigation because a number of sexually explicit drawings that bear a striking resemblance to him appear on the door of a local church.
THE NOISE OF ENGINES is semi-autobiographical: director Philippe Grégoire financed his debut feature with money he earned as a part-time customs officer in a small town on the Canada-US border.
