In a religious summer camp, three youths who are torn between ideology, independence and falling in love.

In preparation for confirmation, different young people come together at a summer camp on an island near Helsinki. Together, they spend a week clarifying their relationship with God and their environment. They include the free-spirited Aliisa, the withdrawn Panu and Jenna, a self-confident "fashion victim" who finds the camp very annoying. But the others soon oppose the strict young pastor Tiina, who wants to strengthen the faith of her protégés with orthodox retreats.

EDEN convincingly links ethical issues with adolescent needs and wants. About 80 percent of all young Finns attend these camps and have experiences similar to those of the protagonists - including the director at the age of 15.
