Shortly before her final exams, 19-year-old Defne returns to her hometown because her father has suffered a stroke. His rehab gives them a chance to heal their fragile relationship. Slowly, she is drawn into a family drama in the beautiful Mediterranean town. She witnesses the suicide of her aunt by means of pills that Defne had procured. After the suicide, a court case begins. Her decision to get her aunt the pills triggers problems for Mari, the caretaker. Haunted by her guilty conscience, Defne has to redefine her ideas of justice.
