A parasitic fungus infects humanity. It triggers visions and also enables communication with the dead.
A parasitic fungus infects humanity. It triggers visions and also enables communication with the dead.
A thirteen-year-old teenager and her father mourn the death of her mother. A parasitic fungus promises a cure. But the price is enormous: a murder and complete assimilation into a biological system - the mycelium.
When her mother dies tragically during a home birth, 13-year-old Lena takes on her mother's role and cares for the newborn. Her father is in a state of shock and is no real help until he learns that a parasitic fungus helps him communicate with the dead. For Lena, this is all fantasy, but soon she too is haunted by visions that make it increasingly difficult for her to distinguish between the subconscious and reality.
