Carolina lives with her absent husband Hugo in an old, dilapidated mansion where it is quiet, the rooms are empty, and some doors are always locked. But one evening, everything goes wrong. When she comes home, there is a strange woman standing there with a gift: a sealed, mysterious box. As soon as she opens the box, the house comes alive... and something inside is watching her.

Director Cristian Bidone stages a psychological thriller that explores the disintegration of an identity through dense images and menacing silence. The visual language is reminiscent of works such as “Jacob's Ladder” or “The Machinist” – intense films about loss of reality and inner demons. Desirée Salgueiro gives a wonderful performance in the lead role with a restrained but penetrating presence. The boundaries between delusion and truth become increasingly blurred. Who can save Carolina – or is it already too late?

CORPOREAL was shown at the BARS – Buenos Aires Rojo Sangre Festival, where it stood out due to its surreal atmosphere and precise camera work. With its stylistic consistency and dark, almost claustrophobic staging, this Argentine genre contribution has secured a place in the international thriller canon.
